A new priest arrives at a small-town church and meets the one parishioner he should not: a college-aged woman who makes it her business to test his vows. Forgive Me, Father is among the freshest titles on Candy Shorts, and it is the catalogue's most direct use of forbidden-by-office temptation since the guard-and-queen story of Sworn to the Queen.
The set-up
Confession booths, a congregation that notices everything, and a vow that turns every private conversation into a risk. The free episodes do the slow work of establishing all three, and the tension is in what he is supposed to refuse rather than in what is shown.
The cost of sinning
Three locked episodes at twelve tokens apiece finish it. We have not marked its intensity yet because it has only just landed. Mica Sarasola, the woman at the centre of it, carries on afterwards as a chat character.
